Greed is such a waste of time!

I find it amazing the lengths that certain people will go to get their hands on money!  Even in the Body of Believers, we find those who really seem to believe that God is mocked – that you won’t reap what you sow! But I truly believe that if we spend our God-given time here on earth chasing after those worldly things as non-Believers do – then we are simply choosing to waste our time here on earth.  Time swiftly passes and as we get older we realize that those things that make us happier have nothing to do with money.  You really can’t buy love so why jeopardize your time here and your guaranteed reward in Heaven for a few crumbs.  We can have the entire cookie if we choose to love

Him with all of our heart because there would be no room in our hearts for Greed!

Jesus is the Only Reason to Give

Of course, its December 13th and I’m barely aware that the Christmas Season is quickly approaching.  I have too much work to do for shopping.  I say that every year but now that my children are young adults and the desire to make this time of year special for them, I find that I’ve lost all interest in the commercialism of the Season. There is one thing I am excited about!  I’m finally getting old enough to really appreciate the opportunity to focus on the virgin birth and the blessing of the birth of Jesus, Our Christ!  As I bow my head to pray daily, I find myself uttering ongoing thank you’s to The Father who decided to give us His ONLY Son that I might even have the right to speak His Name.  The gift of Jesus is the Only Real Reason to Give!  Each opporunity to give to someone less fortunate or simply someone we love can only be an expression of the Blessed gift we were given 2000+ years ago.  I praise God for allowing me to live long enough to understand His Purpose and His Vision for my life.  I will only give to others to glorify Him, not myself for truly Jesus is the Only Reason to Give!

His Never-Ending Flow of Blessings……

Have you ever been in a season where it seems you are getting blessing after blessing and you are wondering how is it possible that flawed and challenged me could continue to be so blessed.  I have always been a recipient of far more blessings than I could have ever asked for or thought of.  The few times in my life when I have been fortunate to be in one of the seasons when the Lord decides to just pour out gifts on me that I surely don’t have room to recieve, I remind myself that the only reason I’m so surprised at His generousity is because I constantly underestimate just how good, loving, and forgiving He really is.  When we think about His ultimate gift of His only Son and His continual patience with us when we know we are plain wrong, its clear His capacity for love is far, far above anything we could ask or think.  As we develop as faithful stewards, let’s remember that biblical stewardship requires sacrifice and long suffering.  We should practice giving to our church and others as if we are constantly reminded how good He is to us.  While we are in the season of “more than enough” let’s share with others and be generous in our dealings. To whom much is given, much is required…..Be generous in all things!

God is simply “miraculous”!

It’s Holy Week and I woke up this morning praising The Father for the continuous miracles I am blessed to witness!  His death and resurrection was THE MIRACLE that saved you and me from death and destruction.  He gave us a door to SALVATION and He even opened the door for us to simply walk through.  Yesterday, I witnessed a miracle.  I have a new client who has been stuck for many years paying for a leased storefront to house their thriving ministry.  The lease was far, far above what they could afford but they’ve faithfully sacrificed to pay on time and pour 100% of everything left back into their ministry and their school.  They found a large church building with only 5 members and no pastor that they wanted to secure for their ministry.  I pulled together a 3-year bank financial package for them and I helped them write a proposal for the building that cuts their lease payments in half. THEIR PROPOSAL WAS ACCEPTED! My God, My God, My God! How wonderful you are!  My heart sings for the wonderful work the Lord will continue to do in the ministry of this client!  God is simply “miraculous’!

When I think about His Favor……..

… the songwriter says that “His Favor is More Precious than Gold”!  How very true.  I was in two church services today and came away from both feeling “favored”.  Simply because how blessed I am just to know Him!  How blessed I am to be His Child.  How very favored I am yet I’m simply one of millions who love Him and feel favored too.  But I feel special, because He makes me feel special

.  My Stewardship is required.  How can someone be the recipient of so much unmerited favor yet be stingy with my time, my talents and my worldly treasures? As I get older, I’m finding it very difficult to deny His undeniable presence in everything that I do.  He covers my family and I constantly with His hedge of protection in a world full of pain and loss.  Each day is a gift.  I MUST treat each moment that He gives me as a gift to be shared.  Lord, help me reflect Your Love and Your Favor in my relationships with others.  My Stewardship is required as a living sacrifice for ALL that I’ve been given.
