The Willing Steward Academy Church Financial Certificate programs are designed to familiarize you with the best practices, polity and IRS laws governing the non-profit finances received by churches and other nonprofit organizations. It is vitally important for pastors to understand the overall requirements of managing the finances of their church and to be able to accurately and correctly oversee the administrative process. It is far more vital for church employees and volunteers to understand how to perform the critical functions of managing church finances with the accuracy, confidentiality and integrity required to do the work well. We are encouraged when clergy and laity join in this class to gather a better understanding of the various aspects of this precious calling from the Lord.
Willing Steward Academy is called to teach, train and educate God’s people how to accurately and effectively manage God’s finances in God’s House. We encourage each student to embrace the need for integrity and accountability to handle God’s finances in full respect of those who are serving in the Kingdom of God.
The Certificate on Church Financial Management I and II will be offered during the Winter 2025 academic season. Please note this is a continuing education program and is not transcripted for academic transfer credit.
